Visa Information
Foreigners must obtain a visa before travelling to Myanmar. Please read this information carefully before you complete your application. Once you have completed your application we strongly advice that you keep a copy for your reference. It is strongly recommended that you complete all questions in all sections on the visa application form. Failure to answer any questions completely and accurately may result in the application being cancelled or refused without prejudice.
Diplomatic Visa (DGOC)
1. Duly-filled Official Visa application form
2. A Diplomatic Note Verbal from the concerned Ministry of Foreign Affairs stating detailed description of the posting and entry to Myanmar
3. Original Diplomatic Passport with minimum validity of Six months & two full empty pages
4. TWO recent photos of 1 ½ x 2 inches with white color background
5. Duly-filled Work History Form
VISA INFORMATION
- The stay and validity of the DGOC/GOC Visa will be issued according to the approval of concerned authority of Myanmar.

Official Visa
(Remark: The International Organizations, INGO and NGO can apply Official Visa)

2. A Note Verbal from the concerned Ministry or authorized organization stating detailed description of entry to Myanmar
3. An original invitation letter to you from the relevant Ministry (or) Organization in Myanmar
4. The copy of valid registration of the Organization in Myanmar.

VISA INFORMATION
- The stay for the Official Visa (single) is exactly 70 days, which is extendable.
- The validity of the Official Visa is 3 months from the date of issue, which cannot be renewed or refunded.

Tourist Visa
1. Duly filled Entry Tourist Visa application form
2. Passport with minimum validity of Six months & two full empty pages
3. TWO recent photos of 1 ½ x 2 inches with white color background
4. A Copy of the Certificate of full COVID-19 vaccination must be attached.
5. Package Tour Groups of EVT (Package tour) visa applicants are required a confirmation letter from their respective land operator in Myanmar stating the names and passport nos. of the tour members. The confirmation letter should be confirmed by the land operator in Myanmar directly to the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar by fax or email. Land operator must be a registered company under Myanmar Company Act.

VISA INFORMATION
- Certificate of COVID-19 full Vaccination must be attached to the application.
- The stay for the Tourist Visa is exactly 28 days, which is not extendable.
- The validity of the Tourist Visa is 3 months from the date of issue, which cannot be renewed or refunded.
- Tourist Visa is only valid for a single entry. Re-entry will require a new visa.
- Currently passengers with Tourist Visa are only permitted to enter from Yangon International Airport.
- The Inbound Travel Accident Insurance Policy with COVID-19 coverage purchased from Myanmar Insurance must be shown at the airport, and the insurance can be directly purchased at the Myanmar Insurance Office Located in No. (627/635), Merchant Street, Yangon (or) www.mminsurance.gov.mm
- Applicant shall not be allowed to travel to restricted areas without seeking prior permission. There are Restricted Areas for Foreigners and Tourist travelling in the Country, for more information please visits to mip.gov.mm/Restricted Area
- Please take note that visa officer reserves the right to request additional documents or interview as necessary and can refuse those who use any false statements in the entry visa form.
- Process of issuing visa will take 7 working days at least.

Special Tourist Visa for Russia
1. Duly filled Entry Tourist Visa application form

4. Relevant documents regarding the Public Health requirements for Travelers Entering Myanmar Through International Commercial Flights issued by the Ministry of Health in Myanmar ( download the Instruction)
5. Evidence of a hotel registration with any of the hotels approved by the Ministry of Hotel and Tourism (download the hotels lists approved by the Ministry)
6. Visa Fee for Double Entry per application

Business Visa
1. One copy of duly-filled Business Visa application form
2. Passport with minimum validity of Six months & two full empty pages
3. TWO recent photos of 1 ½ x 2 inches with white color background
4. An original invitation letter of Myanmar company that have registered according to Myanmar Investment Commission/Ministries concerned.
5. An original recommendation letter from a respective company.
6. The Applicant’s Company registered in Myanmar must have at least one year of registration under Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA).
7. The application from the companies that have been suspended or struck-off due to the failure to comply with the Myanmar Company Act(2017) shall be accepted only one year of operation in accordance with the Law.
8. Updated Extract Form of the Company in Myanmar
9. Current field of operation of the Company in Myanmar
10. Affidavit of liability of the Company’s Board of Directors regarding the foreign employee
11. The Company’s income tax payment receipt of 2020-2021 fiscal year and 2021-2022 fiscal year and audit report (or) any proof of tax payment receipt in advance (if available) for 2022-2023 fiscal year
12. An update CV form of the foreign employee that includes a photograph(2” x 1/15”) taken within 6 months, educational background, work experience, permanent residence address abroad and local address
13. Assigned designation and duties; Terms of Reference (ToR) of the foreign employee in the Company
14. Employment contract
15. The company must inform the DICA, if there are any changes to the local residence address of the foreign employee
16. If the foreign employee is entering Myanmar for the second time, he/she must submit the proof of any previous income tax receipt
17. The company must submit the employment status of the company/ the list of employees(Foreign/Local) including names, positions, Passport No., National Registration Card No., Phone Number
18. Identity of family members( spouse/son/daughter)

1. Duly-filled Social Visit Visa application form. Describe completely and correctly the address in Myanmar where you will stay, the name of a sponsor in Myanmar, and the reason to visit.

4. Evidence of Ex-Myanmar Citizenship (a copy of National Identification Card or a copy of family household list)
5. Evidence of relationship with Myanmar Citizen (a Copy of marriage certificate or etc.)
6. Invitation letter from family members/ friend in Myanmar and explanation with their relationship.
7. Admission for stay address in Myanmar
8. Endorsement letter from district administration office for the address of inviter who is currently staying in the address.
9. Social Visa Fee for Single : USD 50
10. Social Visa Fee for Multiple (3Month) : USD 150
11. Social Visa Fee for Multiple (6months) : USD 300
12. Social Visa Fee for Multiple (1Year) : USD 450
VISA INFORMATION
- မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသားဟောင်းများနှင့် မိသားစုအရင်းအချာများမှ လျှောက်ထားနိုင်ပါသည်။
- ပထမဆုံးအကိမ် လူမှုရေးပြည်ဝင်ဗီဇာလျှောက်ထားသူများနှင့်Travel Documentဖြင့် လူမူရေး ပြည်ဝင်ဗီဇာ လျှောက်ထားသူများအနေဖြင့် Social Visa (Multiple) လျှောက်ထား နိုင်ခြင်း မရှိပါ။
- မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသားဟောင်းများမှ မွေးဖွားသော ကလေးများအတွက် လူမှုရေးဗီဇာ သီးခြား လျှောက်ထားပါ က မိဘများ၏လျှောက်ထားစာနှင့် မိဘများ၏ နိုင်ငံကူးလက်မှတ်မိတ္တူတို့ကို ပူးတွဲ တင်ပြရပါမည်။
- မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသားဟောင်းဖြစ်ကြောင်း ခိုင်မာသည့်အထောက်အထား တင်ပြရပါမည်။
- မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသားနှင့်ပတ်သက်သူ နိုင်ငံခြားသားဖြစ်ပါက မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသားနှင့် မည်သို့ပတ်သက် ကြောင်း အထောက်အထား တင်ပြရပါမည်။
- မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသို့လာရောက်ရန် ဖိတ်ခေါ်စာတွင် ဖိတ်ခေါ်သူနှင့် ဖိတ်ခေါ်ခံရသူတို့ မည်သို့ ပတ်သက်ကြောင်း၊ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိ နေထိုင်မည့် နေရပ်လိပ်စာ၊ ဖိတ်ခေါ်သူအနေဖြင့် သက်ရှိ ထင်ရှားရှိပြီး သက်ဆိုင်ရာလိပ်စာတွင် အမှန်တကယ်နေထိုင်သူဖြစ်ကြောင်း သက်ဆိုင်ရာ အုပ်ချုပ်ရေးမှူးထောက်ခံချက် တို့ တင်ပြရပါမည်။
- Social Visa ကိုင်ဆောင်သူများသည် ဆွေးမျိုးသားချင်းနေအိမ်တွင် တည်းခိုနိုင်ပါသည်။ နေထိုင်ခွင့်သက်တမ်း(၇၀)ရက် ကုန်ဆုံးသည့်အခါ သက်ဆိုင်ရာ မြို့နယ် လူဝင်မှုကြီးကြပ် ရေးနှင့် ပြည်သူ့အင်အားဦးစီးဌာနတွင် ထပ်မံ သက်တမ်းတိုးလျှောက်ထားနိုင်ပါသည်။

4. The Invitation Letter/Appointment Letter of Myanmar Company that has registered according to Myanmar Investment Commission/ Ministries concerned.
5. The copy of valid inviting company’s registration.
6. The copy of the receipts certifying payment of taxes imposed
7. Payment of US$ 50 (US$ Fifty only) per applicant for Employment Visa (Single Entry) fee
VISA INFORMATION
- The stay for the Employment Visa is 70 days, which is extendable.
- The validity of the Employment Visa (Single Entry) is 3 months from the date of issue, which cannot be renewed or refunded.

Religious Visa Requirement
1. Duly-filled Business Visa application form.
2. Original Passport with minimum validity of Six months & two full empty pages

4. Application for visa should to be submitted together with a letter of recommendation from the Ministry of Religious Affairs. In the event of application for mediation:
5. In the event of application for mediation, recommendation letter by the Ministry of Religious Affairs certifying that the meditation center is recognized by the Ministry.

Education Visa Requirement
1. One (1) completed application form with two photos. (2 photos required)
2. One (1) completed “Work History form”.
3. Original Passport (Passport must be at least 6 months validity with available visa page.)
4. Letter of acceptance/ Invitation from a University / College in Myanmar ( for student)
5. Letter of Recommendation from a University/ College Under the Ministry of Education of Myanmar( for Teacher/ Lecturer )
6. The copy of valid inviting University’s /College’s registration.
7. Education Visa Fee for Single : USD 50
8. Education Visa Fee for Multiple (1 Year) : USD 160
VISA INFORMATION
- The stay for the Education Visa(Single) is 90 days, which is extendable.
- The validity of the Education Visa (Single Entry) is 3 months from the date of issue, which cannot be renewed or refunded.
- Please take note that visa officer reserves the right to request additional documents or interview as necessary and can refuse those who use any false statements in the entry visa form. Process of issuing visa will take 10 working days. Applicant has to come Embassy himself.

Journalist Visa Requirement
1. One (1) completed application form with twophotos. (2 photos required)
2. One (1) completed “Work History form”.
3. Original Passport (Passport must be at least 6 months validity with available visa page.)
4. Recommendation of employment in local media.
5. Documents certifying that the employing media is recognized by the Ministry of Information/ Ministry of Home Affairs / Recommendation from the Ministry concerned to certify the attending of a local event.
6. Payment of US$ 40 (US$ Forty only) per applicant for Journalist Visa (Single Entry) fee

- The stay for the Journalist Visa is 28 days or according to the approval, which is not entitled to extend.
- The validity of the Journalist Visa (Single Entry) is 3 months from the date of issue, which cannot be renewed or refunded.

Crew Visa Requirement
1. One completed application form with two photos. (2 photos required)
2. One completed “Work History form”.
3. Original Passport (Passport must be at least 6 months validity with available visa page.)
4. For Crew members from air line:<br />a. The Invitation Letter by a local air line/ recommendation for employment as current crew member.<br />b. The Permission/ Recommendation by the Ministry concerned recognizing the airline.
5. For Crew on board a special flight:<br />a. The Recommendation by the country concerned to certify that the special aircraft is used for the official by the hand of state.<br />b. The Landing Permission by the Ministry concerned and application by sponsor company for the crew and personal undertaking in the event a special aircrafts owned by private individuals.
6. Crew Visa Fee for Single : USD 50
7. Crew Visa Fee for Multiple (2 Year) : USD 160
VISA INFORMATION
- The stay for the Crew Visa(Single) is 90 days, which is entitled to extend as per requirement.
- The validity of the Crew Visa (Single Entry) is 3 months from the date of issue, which cannot be renewed or refunded.

- The stay for the Workshop/Seminar/Meeting/Research Visa is 28 days.
- Only the Research Visa can be extended.
- The validity of the Workshop/Seminar/Meeting/Research Visa (Single Entry) is months from the date of issue, which cannot be renewed or refunded.
